July 2012〕 hosting the show ''Aalim Online''. Hussain contested in 2002 and he was elected to the National Assembly affiliated party with Muttahida Qaumi Movement. He resigned from his post as a member of the National Assembly and from his seat as the Minister of Religious Affairs in 2007. Hussain was born in Karachi. His father Sheikh Liaquat was also a member of the National Assembly.
